The family story behind Pllana Ventures, and why experience led to the 5P Framework.

Our family’s experience in engineering, technology and manufacturing helped shape our ambition. It taught us that knowledge, work and courage can change the direction of a life.

My brother Besnik and I started working with our father when we were six and seven. We worked on the street, went to school and built a life. The war forced us to leave Kosovo as refugees. When we returned, we started again.

A small doors-and-windows shop brought us into construction. Then came our first house in Prishtina, followed by two, four, twelve and forty-seven. Local success gradually became an ambition to build companies that could compete internationally.

We travelled, learned and visited factories. The question became how to move construction from the site to the factory: a more repeatable environment, greener systems, broader participation and, eventually, robotics.

Growth also exposed the pain of transformation. Big promises. High costs. Too much time. We needed a way to connect the work, from the team to the numbers. That is how 5P was born: People, Process, Product, Project and Profit.

Profit returns to people. We reinvest in capability, start the next cycle and build bigger. Our culture is Fun, Profit and Give Back. Now it is time to build together. — Mentor Pllana
